A hardware-based system designed to detect and classify plastic waste on river surfaces using a modified YOLOv8s model combined with the Dark Channel Prior (DCP) algorithm for enhanced visual processing.
Designed a user interface for Smart bins with barcode scanners to identify, sort, and collect e-waste for recycling or disposal, and an interface for mobile application for rewarding users with recycling credits.

A little about me-my journey as a designer and the experiences that shaped my creative perspective.
I’ve recently completed my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and am currently just waiting for the graduation rites this coming September. Throughout my college years, I naturally gravitated toward UI/UX design in our group projects and system development tasks. I consistently took the lead in designing user interfaces, ensuring each project delivered a functional and visually engaging experience. This passion led me to pursue a UI/UX role during my internship, and I was fortunate to be accepted at Paragon, a company under FWD Insurance Corporation. During my internship, I was responsible for designing the UI/UX of a 5-page website, collaborating closely with developers to ensure smooth implementation. I also conducted front-end quality assurance testing, ensuring the site was responsive and aligned with the design. I primarily use Figma and Canva for interface design, and I’m also proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Sketchbook, which I use to create digital vector portraits in my free time. I’m now seeking a role where I can grow professionally, work on meaningful design projects, and truly enjoy what I do.
